BeeZero, world’s first fuel cell carsharing (Germany)
This summer the Linde Group, in partnership with Hyundai, will launch a new “BeeZero” carsharing programme in Munich, Germany. The service, with a fleet of 50 ix35 Fuel Cell vehicles, will bring the benefits of fuel cell technology to a wider group of potential users.

Daimler launches car2go in Chongqing (China)
Daimler makes its debut in Asia with car2go in Chongqing, one of the biggest cities in the world. The carsharing service was launched last Friday with a starting fleet of 400 new Smarts, adding 200 more vehicles by the end of the year.

BMW launched ReachNow in Seattle (USA)
The new carsharing service called ReachNow was launched in the U.S. at the beginning of the month. The new partnership with RideCell, startup from San Francisco, allows BMW to operate its fleet of vehicles more efficiently. Initially available in Seattle, BMW plans to establish the service in 10 cities in North America.

Zipcar launches new fleet management service (USA)
Local Motion by Zipcar is the comprehensive vehicle hardware and software platform that allows operators of large fleets to share vehicles effortlessly, increase utilization and streamline operations. This technology solution is now available to support corporate, government and university fleet management customers.

TravelerCar raises €5 million after acquiring local rival (France)
French peer-to-peer car sharing startup TravelerCar has raised about $5.6 million to bring its business to the next level. At the end of last year, TravelerCar acquired one of its main competitors, Carnomise, bringing its total user base to over 100,000.

Jaguar Land Rover looks at carsharing with InMotion (Worldwide)
Jaguar Land Rover has launched a new technology start up, InMotion, which will develop apps and on-demand services to overcome modern travel and transport challenges. The London based start up will begin testing services in the areas of carsharing and new ownership solutions in North America, Europe and Asia in the next few months.

Carsharing is set to begin in Canberra (Australia)
The ACT Government has announced a two-year trial of carsharing, with 22 spaces around the city designated for the service. The vehicles will be provided by two companies, GoGet and Popcar which have already established the carsharing service in other cities.

Koolicar raised €18 million for P2P carsharing (France)
French peer-to-peer car sharing startup Koolicar announced end of March a financial round of €18 million. PSA Peugeot Citroën, alongside insurer MAIF, took part in the capital increase, making another step forward in its commitment to mobility services.

Hybrid and hydrogen vehicles for a carsharing project in Venice (Italy)
Toyota and the City of Venice signed a memorandum of understanding for the creation of a sustainable urban mobility system, which includes Toyota's hydrogen vehicles, a carsharing service with hybrid cars and a new integrated experimental mobility platform.

1,000 electric vehicles for carsharing in Singapore
Transport authorities are now evaluating proposals for an electric carsharing programme to put 1,000 electric vehicles on Singapore's roads within 10 years and in the same time local carsharing operators are looking to expand their fleet.

Tel Aviv ready to go with a carsharing programme (Israel)
The Tel Aviv municipality has decided to start a carsharing programme, hoping to reduce rush-hour traffic. 260 parking spaces will be dedicated specifically for the carsharing programme in the first stage.
